Join us for this interactive session looking at conflict resolution in the General Practice setting.  Conflict is inevitable but manageable.  This session is designed to equip Primary Care staff with practical tools to manage and resolve conflict in the workplace, calmly and constructively.  This session will address interactions between healthcare staff and patients, as well as those within the workforce team itself.

Our speaker is Dr Steph Manton, GP Mentor and GP Multi-Professional Educator at Herefordshire and Worcestershire Primary Care Training Hub.  The session aims to cover the following objectives:

  • Understand why conflict occurs in general practice
  • Recognise types of communication and behaviour patterns
  • Learn key conflict resolution models to guide your approach
  • Develop practical strategies to address conflict effectively
  • Identify and signpost those affected by conflict to subsequent debriefing and support

This session is designed to be interactive, and will involve some small group work.  For this reason, it is necessary for all attendees to be able to access the microphone and camera settings on their electronic device.  Places are limited to accommodate this.
