Level 4 General Practice Assistant accredited course

We are pleased to announce that we have funded places available on the Level 4 GPA accredited course with Derby University. This is a formal qualification that is recognised for the General Practice Assistant role.

Course Duration: 9 months

Entry requirements: Must be employed in a GPA role. Priority will be given to those who have been employed the longest.

Delivery method: Blended learning

Assessment: The learner will need to submit evidence of their learning, matched to the GPA competency framework. The majority of learning will be done at the learner’s own practice, with the support of your own practice team, supported by a GP Mentor within your own practice, who is responsible for assessing your competency.

Upon successful completion, you will gain: 10 university credits.

The clinical skills element of the course will be delivered by the Training Hub. All content delivered by Derby University will be distance learning.
