Managing PCOS in General Practice: The now and the long-term

Managing PCOS in General Practice: The now and the long-term

Taking place online on the 9th of December from 13:00 - 14:00

Polycystic Ovary Syndrome affects up to 20% of reproductive-aged women.  It presents with varied symptoms, but it is incredibly important that we recognise the long-term health implications for women with this diagnosis, and how their future health can be optimised.  Join Dr Steph Manton for this interactive session where we will discuss the new 2023 International evidence-based guideline for the assessment and management of PCOS.

The learning objectives are:

  • Be able to define the condition Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS)
  • Know about the aetiology and epidemiology of this condition
  • Be familiar with how PCOS can present in General Practice
  • Be confident in your knowledge of different management options for women with PCOS
  • Feel capable of discussing with and empowering patients about knowledge of long-term health implications and interventions for PCOS

All clinicians working in General Practice are welcome to attend. This session will be recorded.
