Pharmacy Technician - Worcester City PCN

Key Responsibilities
- Conduct patient-facing and patient-supporting roles, including medicines optimisation and reviews.
- Perform medication reconciliations for care home residents and community patients.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve prescribing practices and reduce waste.
- Support initiatives such as antimicrobial stewardship and quality improvement projects.
- Deliver training on the safe handling of medicines and Electronic Prescription Service (EPS).
- Provide leadership in medicines management across the PCN.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
- Registration with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC) as a Pharmacy Technician.
- BTEC/NVQ Level 3 in Pharmacy Services (or equivalent).
- Proven experience working as a qualified Pharmacy Technician in community pharmacy, hospital, or primary care settings.
- Strong clinical pharmaceutical knowledge and understanding of prescribing/medicines management.
- Excellent communication, organisational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Desirable:
- Familiarity with primary care operations and GP systems (e.g., EMIS Web).
- Awareness of national prescribing policies and quality improvement initiatives.
