Worcester City Primary Care Network is seeking a proactive and passionate individual to join our dynamic team as a PCN Business Administrator. Our network comprises 9 GP practices covering a patient population of approximately 125,000, and we are dedicated to improving healthcare delivery in Worcester City.

Key Duties:

  • Preparation of management accounts
  • Creation and presentation of reports to identify results
  • Accurate entry of financial information into accounts software
  • Handling invoices for budget holder approval and payment of approved supplier bills
  • Completing supplier statement reconciliations and resolving queries
  • Dealing with finance-related queries from practices
  • Raising invoices for funding claims and completing monthly ARRs claims
  • Maximizing PCN income by optimizing income streams such as NHS contracts, claimable services, and training funds
  • Providing administrative support to the management team and day-to-day operations

General Responsibilities:

  • Aligning service delivery with the PCN's objectives
  • Collaborating with colleagues to support organizational goals
  • Contributing to the PCN's strategic vision and objectives
  • Ensuring compliance with corporate governance and statutory requirements
  • Representing the PCN at external meetings when necessary
  • Planning, allocating, and directing workloads to achieve deadlines and service standards

 

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in financial or administrative roles
  • Strong attention to detail and numerical skills
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
  • Ability to work effectively in a dynamic and challenging environment
  • Familiarity with NHS contracts and financial processes is desirable
